Samarkand is preparing for the international conference on food security
An international conference on food security will be held in Samarkand on 7-8 September.
The international conference is timed to coincide with World Food Day, which is celebrated annually on October 16 on the day of the founding of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), Dunyo news agency reports.
The forum will be attended by scientists, professors, representatives of international organizations and leading educational institutions from different countries, who will discuss national and international food safety standards, current issues of nutrition, food processing and quality, environmental and food security.
The conference will also host an exhibition of food products and agricultural products of Uzbekistan.
