New green energy projects to be implemented jointly with Total Energies

Representatives of Uzbekneftegaz JSC and held a meeting with Total Energies, France.

During the talks, representatives of the foreign company expressed their interest in implementing joint projects to develop networks of EV charging stations in Uzbekistan.

In turn, the foreign company was provided with information on the reforms ongoing in our country for a phased transition to green energy, as well as measures taken to expand EV charging stations, given the high market demand for electric vehicles.

It should be noted that Total Energies is one of the largest oil and gas companies in the world, which in recent years has been actively developing environmentally friendly types of energy. The company currently operates in more than 130 countries. At the meeting, it was noted that the company plans to open an office in Tashkent, which will represent its interests throughout the Central Asian region.

To date, Uzbekneftegaz JSC pays special attention to the development of upstream projects and the introduction of new promising downstream projects at the Uzbekistan GTL plant.

The French company expressed its readiness to cooperate with Uzbekneftegaz JSC in the implementation of new green energy projects.

Following the meeting, the two companies reached agreements on further studying the prospects for cooperation in various areas and continuing work on joint projects, as well as the possibility of signing an NDA agreement and a Memorandum of Understanding.
